2020 in review "The year that never was"

Well last year was different in more ways than one. After being shut down in the early season buy Covid regulations, I was finally able to get the season underway safely in July.

July didn’t disappoint as salmon started to show and fishing was pretty consistent. Then came August. The salmon that did show up disappeared, not sure to where, but suspected that it was due to the lack of rain and run off. Thankfully we had a mass influx of lakers that usually show up in June to keep the rods moving. By the end of the month the salmon did migrate back only to shoot straight up the estuaries with the first rainfall that finally came. Bringing a rapid end to the season.

In another month it will be time to prepare the boat for the upcoming season. People have been tired of being cooped up and dates are going fast, so give me a call or e-mail to schedule a trip.

Lets hope 2021 is better to us all. Stay safe and healthy.

Werner
